Sampling is performed in the cement plant for control of chemical processes, process optimization and silo homogenization, and documentation of product quality at various product stages. Typical analyses (but not all) performed on sampled material include
• Elemental analysis (by XRF)
• Mineral composition (according to XRD)
• Moisture
• Subtlety, e.g. particle size distribution, sieve residue, etc.
